Is Obama Planning to End Syrian Trade Embargo?

As part of his plan to make the world ‘like the US’, US President Barack Obama may be ready to end the US trade embargo on the terrorist state of Syria. According to a Ynet report:”Syrian government newspaper says the US Trade Department has agreed to provide Syria with spare parts to rehabilitate two Boeing 747 planes out of service for years. Sunday’s report by al-Baath newspaper could signal a move by the new US Administration to reach out to Damascus and end an economic embargo of Syria.”

Former president Bush slapped on the embargo almost 5 years ago as Syria was part of the axis of terror. This move is a further signal that Obama plans on moving US foreign policy towards the appeasement approach used by both Presidents’ Carter and Clinton, with little success.

If his first two weeks in office are any indication, from controversial anti-Israel appointments, to his first call, to his first interview, and now this, Israel is going to face extreme pressure to cut deals that may not be in her best interest. let’s hope the new PM can hang tough.
