PETA Slammed in German Court Over Animal/Holocaust Ad

Written by: Aaron Katsman | March 31, 2009

The fringe animal rights group People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has gone over the edge, even for them. A German court ruled that comparing animal slaughterhouses to concentration camps in the Holocaust is an offense against human dignity.

I guess only a group that equates animals with humans can think of such a comparison. It’s no surprise as PETA regularly attacks humanity to promote their own twisted version of morality.

According to Ynet: ” Germany’s highest court has ruled that a PETA ad campaign comparing animal slaughterhouses to the Holocaust is an offense against human dignity. The posters, sponsored by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), bear photographs of concentration camp inmates, both alive and dead, along with pictures of plates piled with meat and animals ready for slaughter, accompanied by the slogan: “The Holocaust on you plate”.The constitutional court said the campaign would have made “the fate of the victims of the Holocaust appear banal and trivial” and that it was not protected under freedom of speech laws.”

There is a great post at petakillsanimals.com:

Call them what you will, but you can’t accuse PETA folks of being lazy. When they’re not opposing medical research aimed at curing AIDS and cancer, or getting scolded by a German court for comparing animal slaughter to the Holocaust, or giving money to violent criminals, they’re doing other things. Like killing 2,124 pets a year. But even all that doesn’t account for their entire work schedule. (That may just be their lunch break.)

So how do PETA activists spend their days? Pulling ridiculous stunts that make them look like fools. This makes our job a lot easier, but unfortunately their gimmicks nearly always have victims. As we reported last week, PETA has stooped down so low that it now harasses school children in an attempt to scare them away from the circus.

On Wednesday night, political commentator Bill O’Reilly asked comedian Dennis Miller what he thought about PETA’s circus act. Miller responded:

I think PETA people are emotional wrecks. I think they have been so horribly disappointed by their fellow human beings that they have to cozy up to a ferret to have a friend. And I think there are even animals out there who are embarrassed that they front them. They ought to lay off the kids, although psychologically and intellectually, that’s who they’re akin to. But the simple fact is kids love the circus. And PETA to get in the middle of that, it’s just, you know, like I said, it’s embarrassing to them.

Definitely embarrassing. We would add that it’s disgraceful. And, sadly, also typical.

Boy isn’t that the truth!

From Cicero to Barack Obama

Alert reader AC sent a great quote from the distant past which has some relevancy today.

“The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.” –Cicero, 55 BC.

What hath you say Prez. Obama?????

Israeli Female Politicans Among Worlds Most Beautiful

Written by: Aaron Katsman | March 30, 2009

For a country that sports the likes of Bar Rafaeli it comes as no surprise that 4 Israeli female politicians cracked the list of the 54 most beautiful women in public office readers poll.

According to Ynet: “Newly elected Member of Knesset Orli Levy (Yisrael Beiteinu) was ranked in 14th place. Four slots after her comes former Knesset member and business woman Pnina Rosenblum. In 23rd place is Tourism Minister Ruhama Avraham Balila. Yisrael Beiteinu is represented again on the list of the most beautiful in 32nd place with MK Anastassia Michaeli.”

Levy and Michaeli were former models so it comes as little surprise that they made the list. But Ruhama Avraham actually placed right above Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin. Not bad that the grandmother and former VP candidate placed so high on the list.
